Group Class Information
Group classes are a fun and inexpensive way to get a solid foundation in any dance. Learn proper lead-follow technique in a social setting while mastering the art of dance. All classes will be held at the Meridian Activity Hall inside the Meridian Senior Center at 133 W. Broadway (at the corner of W. 2nd St. and Broadway, near the new Meridian City Hall). Group Class Schedule
Monday nights, December 5th through January 30th
Intermediate West Coast Swing Drop-in Class 7:00 - 8:15 pm
Continue to explore the versatility of West Coast Swing and bring your dance to the next level. You must be very familiar with the 6 and 8-count rhythm structures of the dance in order to participate in this class. Each session will be $10 per person or purchase a punch card of 10 classes for $85.
Beyond Beginner West Coast Swing 8:15 - 9:30 pm
This class will continue to explore the basic 6 and 8-count rhythm structures of West Coast Swing while exposing you to a significant amount of variations in the dance. We will focus on learning variations of the basic patterns and partnering skills. $75 for the nine-week series or $10 per session.
Thursday nights, January 5th, 12th, and 19th
Country Two Step Intensive 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Come and join us for a three-week intensive in Country Two Step that will get you moving around the dance floor comfortably and with confidence. We will progress quickly into some fun intermediate patterns while presenting important aspects of the dance that will take your dance to the next level. $45 per person for the 3-week Intensive. Please register by January 1st.
West Coast Swing Workshops with David Hassis and Joy Davina
Monday night, December 26th
7:00 - 8:00 pm: Connect and Redirect
8:00 - 9:00 pm: Extraordinary Basics
9:00 - ??: Social dance
